This morning I filled and put out two hummingbird feeders, altho I had not seen any sign of hummingbirds in the area. Just before leaving for Church this evening, I looked out and there was a hummingbird on one of the feeders! While I was watching, he (it was a ice looking male) flew right up to the sunroom door, and hovered a moment as if to say, "I'm back!".

I have just returned from class #2 of the six classes I am taking about Computers. There, I just used a different method of underlining. Class #1 was not hard, but my head feels loaded after tonight, but now I know (or have heard) how you-all do some of your fancy pages. Tomorrow I will review and see how much I remember.

On this past Monday, Grandpa and I drove up to Newburg, IN to visit Aunt Louise in the nursing home. First we went to the Longs and had lunch. Looking over at her bookcase I saw one of the old cover labels from the puzzles my Father had made during the Depression. We have an enlarged puzzle that he made later for the Grandchildren, but the originals were smaller. During the Depression he rented a large garage type building in Belleville and there he manufactured the puzzles. The cover is the shape of the puzzle, has six colored illustrations of sample arrangements. In the center it says: New Amusing Instructive HEXSYMETRIC (Each of those words is on a separate line.) Then:" Better Than Jig Saw Puzzles A SCIENTIFIC TOY FOR OLD AND YOUNG Directions by arranging triangles in box an amazing number of beautiful designs are made. DEVELOPS ORIGINALITY O.E. Schulert Belleville, Mich. U.S.A". Lloyd copied the top for me, and I treasure having it. Oh, the memories - mostly of having to put the pieces just so in the boxes, but also of a girl who lived near there who gave me a large doll, the only one I ever had. I must have been around 8 years old at that time. Carolyn had the two different sizes of puzzles also. Aunt Louise is in a nice place, altho she shares a small room, but there are a lot of nice sitting areas, even some birds in large aquarium type enclosures, and also a nice shady garden she can go out into. Carolyn goes to see her everyday and reads Our Daily Bread to her.
